CLASSES
Florida West Scuba is a PADI, SSI and NAUI Dive Center. We offer a wide range of classes from beginner to professional. At FWS we go beyond the requirements. If you want your training to be comprehensive and absolutely complete then you have come to the right place. We offer regularly scheduled classes to choose from. If you need special scheduling we also have private classes.
All the agencies offer easy to use E Learning systems. This is a great way to move at your pace and convenience.
What To Expect: Prices are for regular scheduled classes, private classes have additional cost.
Basic Open Water; $299
- The Basic Open Water class is the first class you will take as a beginner to Scuba diving.

The class consist of classroom instruction, pool skills and open water dives.
- It will take 4-5 days to complete. E Learning can reduce the time.
Advanced Open Water; $399
- Advanced is the next certification that exposes you to many different types of Adventure Dives such as Boat, Deep, Drift, Peak Performance Buoyancy - there are many to choose from.
- You will complete Underwater Navigation and Deep. You and your instructor will choose 3 additional Adventure Dives.
- You must be Open Water Certified to take Advanced Open Water Diver course.
- This course will include 2 classroom sessions and 5 dives.
Rescue Diver; $199
- After completing the Advanced course you are qualified to take the Rescue Diver Course.
- You will learn emergency prevention, intervention and management.
- This class will make you a better diver, it is challenging and rewarding.
- Once complete you are prepared to move into the professional classes.
- This course will include 2 classroom sessions and 3 dives.
Enriched Air Nitrox; $175
- Do you want to increase your bottom time and be able to do more dives in a day?
- Learn how to safely extend your dive time and reduce the risk of Decompression Sickness.
- This course will include 1 classroom session.
Scuba Refresher; $150
- If you have not been diving in while it is highly recommended to take a Refresher Course
- This will take 1/2 to 1 whole day to complete depending on how rusty your skills are.
- It includes gear orientation, tables review and pool skills.

First Aid / CPR / AED $125 min 2 persons
- Be prepared for medical emergencies.
- This course is a requirement for the Rescue Diver course.
- Open to non divers as well
- This course is 2 four hour class sessions.
Oxygen Provider $125 min 2 persons
- The use of O2 in a water related emergency will help save a life and improve the chance of a complete recovery.
- This course covers the use of all available O2 delivery systems.
- Open to non divers as well.
- This course is 1 four hour class session.
