About Us
Florida West Scuba and Charters is owned and operated by Captain Steve Jones. Steve, a native Floridian has spent his life on the water. He has been a licensed USCG Captain for nearly 20 years. His maritime, diving and business experience insures you will have a quality experience with Florida West Scuba.
Our Professional Crew:
Capt. Steve is a USCG 100 ton Master and PADI Divemaster. You will find him on the boat or in the shop.
Capt. Dan is a USCG 50 ton Master and an active NAUI Instructor. Capt. Dan runs the Hammerhead and works in the shop. He is retired from the US Army. Dan has a high level of enthusiasm and is passionate about diving.
Gary is our Mr. Fixit. You will find him around the shop or on the boat. He is an avid fossil collector and has been in the area for a long time.
Capt. Ken spends his time fixing equipment and teaching classes. He has been an instructor since 1969!
Elmo is our dive shop dog.
